An early night at last?
I was given some work to rush at the last minute before leaving my office today. The rain clouds also decided to work at the same time, and it started casting showers all over Paris.
It wasn't a lot of work to do, just that it delayed my return to the apartmet nonetheless and got me caught in the rain on top of that. Rains in Paris are usually nothing more than showers, but it can be very cold during this time - temperatures drop close to 10 degrees Celcius. Add a dose of strong wind and you'll find yourself shivering.
Though the both of us have been working for more than a year - Linus just celebrated his 'first anniversary' last week - there's always this inevitable fatigue that shrouds us as we depart from the office. The result of sitting before the computer for 8 hours, or the lack of exercise, or the mere fact that we didn't get enough sleep? Who knows.
Going to and from work everyday with Linus made me come to a conclusion: the only time that he's not sleepy is when he's asleep. And when he's sleepy, he behaves like a zombie. Twice, in 5 minutes, he took a wrong turn at the train station when trying to exit. That's pretty shameful for someone who's been working here for 3 months (though not consecutively).
My other colleague who has been attached to Paris with him has also told me that he is "blur". Take a look at the photo below.

Linus says that I make him look blur, but the fact is that he is blur.
I decided that I was too tired to cook by the time I left the office, so both of us grabbed a pizza each from the pizzeria near our apartment on our way back. The prices have increased by 2 Euros since the last time we came. Inflation is a non-stop process.
Still, waiting 20 minutes for the pizza beats having to wash and cut the meat and vegetables, and cooking them nicely before we can start to swallow something. On top of that, there's nothing to wash up afterwards.
That leaves me with nothing to do in my apartment from 9.30 pm onwards, a luxury as compared to the past records of 11 pm. Perhaps I can finally sleep early, something I've been wanting to do for weeks.
