I just made a new friend lately. Her name is Virginie, and she's a snake charmer from India.

Just kidding. Virginie's from Nice, France. She came to Singapore for overseas attachment, and I got to know her through a friend who was 'taking care of her' and often brought her along for outings.

Well, it's amazing how friendships are formed. Barely known her for a fortnight and having went out only thrice, she invited me and a few friends over to her place for home-cooked pasta. One of the best home-cooked pasta I've ever tried, and didn't take much effort to cook either.

Virignie promised to show me around France when she returns, which happens to coincide with the end of my training. Of course she can't spend all her time travelling around with me, but I guess she'll be ablet to put some time aside for me.

It's really a pleasant surprise when friendships pop out of nowhere and when you least expect it to.
