I learnt what is Arygyris' Models from my 2nd HR tutorial.
Arygyris came up with 2 models for dealing with other people:
1. playing safe
2. doing the right thing
On the very day I learnt this subject, I realised that I'm an ardent user of Arygyris' Model 1. Holding back information so as to avoid embarrassment, minimising chances of getting upset. Sometimes, it's just better to say it out. Tactfully of course.
I discovered that Model 2 is usually better than Model 1, when it comes to friends, true friends at that.

Regarding the issue on holding back information, i personally like frens who are frank wif me. Therefore, because what goes around comes around, i m oso very frank wif others.
Agree wif u that model 2 is usually better than model 1.
hoho, double-loop learning! oh well, if everyone can be direct and still take it in the positive sense, the world will be a greater place. Unfortunately, not everyone can be THAT direct or take the hard truth in the face. Still have to take care of other people's feelings too. blah.
