Food for thought.....or thinking of food?

Nothing profound. Nothing philisophical. Just food. Lots and lots of food.

Retail therapy

A form of therapy, that works only on some, mostly females.

Some enjoy the process of hunting (for better deals), looking through the available choices, and ultimately, owning it. Most of us just want to own it, without having to go through the first two procedures.

I don't know if the latter can also be considered retail therapy, but it does work - to get something that you've been wanting. For me, that would be getting a durable tripod (one that doesn't break when I bring it for travelling), having my own diving gear, so that I don't have to worry about whether the rented equipment is faulty or not, etc...

The biggest side effect of this is that your savings will become depleted. Like mine. And then, the therapy will lose its intended effect.

So u bought something i guess. hee, retail therapy works in 2 ways for me. To get something I want to get to make myself happy, and to get something for others to make others happy. =P - JJ

XIART Gallery

Normally, I only upload the photos I took, but this time I shall try to be a little different. The following photos are all taken by someone else. Can you guess where the shots are taken?

You may say that these are merely photos taken with severe handshake, not quite a piece of art. But I have to say, I came across this postcard in Paris, which shows something similar but the subject is the easily distinguishable Eiffel Tower.

In both cases, the photographer is playing with lights using slow shutter speed and deliberate hand (or whatever it is) movements to create streaks of light across the frames. Kind of reminds me of certain abstract art pieces which I've came across.

Would you be able to appreciate these?

Teachers really shouldn't expect their students to buy "magic" bags filled with goodies for them.

TAGGED!!

Tagged by Ru-Tian... this is my list of 7

The rules:
a. Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves.
b. People who are tagged need to write their own blog post with their 7 things as well as these rules.
c. You need to tag 7 others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.

Copied and pasted from Ru-Tian's blog. But only for the above. The rest of it are my own writing.

1. I don't use to keep very late nights (past midnight), but I've been having 4 to 5 hours of sleep for the past few nights.

2. Somehow I could survive through my working hours. I think it's a miracle.

3. If I wasn't tagged, I think it'd be much later before I write another entry. Wonder if I've lost the mood to write.

4. I've been playing computer games quite often lately, very much like my schooling days (ooops). It makes me feel young again.

5. Well, I'm kind of hooked to the strategy involved in playing these games. It makes each game different from the rest, and therefore, I could play it over and over again without getting sick too soon.

6. Today, as usual, I received some stares and comments due to my not-so-usual height. The colleagues and friend who were with me pointed it out, but years of 'training' has rendered me numb.

7. I'm having trouble finding 7 other friends to tag, because most of them don't blog anymore. And I guess they don't look at my blog either because I've not been blogging for sometime. Nevertheless, I shall try.

People to be tagged:
Fengchun, Peijun, Huijun, Huiying, Huimin, Yuxiang, Ye Ai
